Delivery guaranteed for the declared value is free only for Metropolitan and from 150 of purchase. For all other countries or destinations, delivery is chargeable to the customer. Regarding deliveries in the EEC (European Community Countries) area, Paris Diamant-Direct expressly recommends deliveries and sending via Post insured declared value parcels, i.e. under a sealed « declared value » envelope, presenting very advantageous service and prices (from 12€ to 15€ according to the destination). Concerning all other international deliveries, Paris Diamant Direct recommends international carriers who propose to insure the value of the transported goods (UPS FEDEX). Estimate upon request.
Delivery delays
Our workshop departure delivery delays may vary from 6 to 12 working days according to the nature of the ordered products. Nevertheless, a week supplementary delay may be required for celebration periods, in particular for Christmas. A supplementary 15 days delay is to be taken into consideration during August.
GENERAL DELIVERY CONDITIONS PRODUCTS COMPLIANCE AND CONFORMITY All articles put up for sale by Diamoos by Paris Diamant Direct are complying with the French rules and legislation. Jewels and accessories sold by Paris Diamant Direct are made in France. They are made only with gold (750/1000 (18 carats) or platinum. We sell only authentic, natural diamonds internationally certified, as well as precious stones and cameos of natural origin. TRANSACTION All transactions are dealt in French language. As a professional, Paris Diamant Direct undertakes to provide all appropriate documents in order that the sold product is not to be retained by Customs, and notably the invoice, Customs declaration and the secured packaging. Nevertheless, when buying the product, the customer has to check if the product is neither counterfeited nor contestable, or if it is not forbidden to import it in his country. DELIVERY The product shall be sent after it has been paid including delivery costs according to final destination. Delivery is free only for Metropolitan France. For all other destinations and countries, delivery costs are at the customer’s expenses. As far as EEC countries are concerned, Paris Diamant Direct expressly recommends sending products at their declared value, insured by Post Office, which practised advantageous service and prices. For international deliveries, Paris Diamant Direct recommends international carriers who propose to insure the product for its carried value. Estimate on request. (EXTRAIT DES CONDITIONS GÉNÉRALES DE VENTE) 11.2. Delivery costs. Delivery costs are shown as rough estimate in the catalogues of Diamoos by Paris-Diamant-Direct, and are to be confirmed during the validation and registration of the order. Whatever may be the place of delivery including Paris surrounding suburbs, the delivery costs shall be borne by the customer and shall be invoiced as extra charges added to the sale price of the products. When confirming his agreement to pay the order, the customer agrees to pay the corresponding delivery costs. Consequently those costs shall never constitute a valid reason to reconsider the order after its definite registration. 11.3. Payment. In case of sale online, payment of the total amount of purchase shall be requested to the customer in advance, including the price of the ordered products and services, and the delivery costs In case of “door-to-door” sale, payment has to be fulfilled within a seven days delay from the delivery date, such as defined in article13.2. The means of payment accepted are : cheque, postal order, credit card and bank transfer payment. Article 12 : Delivery conditions. 12.1 Delivery delays Regarding the purchase of stones or jewels proposed in our catalogues, the estimated delivery delay is 15 days from the day the legal 7 days delay retraction has expired. For custom-made jewels, the delivery delay is mentioned in the estimate signed and agreed by the customer. Regarding the purchase of stones unlisted in the catalogue, the delivery delay is mentioned in the representation (mandate) agreement. 12.2 Conditions of delivery The products bought on Diamoos or Paris-Diamant-Direct websites can be delivered in Metropolitan France. For any other destination, a delivery protocol shall have to be determined and drawn up with the seller. Products are delivered at the address mentioned by the customer and is rather often made by the Post or by a carrier at the seller’s own initiative depending on the sold products. Should the customer be absent on the date of the delivery, a non delivery notice shall be left in his mailbox in order for him to go and pick up the parcel at the post-office or at the carrier’s office. Delivery shall be effective from the day of the first presentation of the products the first time the products at the delivery address such as specified by the customer on the order, and validated during the payment. The transfer of the products shall be made once the receiving customer shall have signed the delivery notice. 12.3 Checking the conformity of the delivery The customer shall have to check the conditioning state and the conformity of the delivered products at the time of delivery and before signing the delivery notice. Any anomaly regarding the delivery (damage, missing products with respect to the delivery notice, damaged parcel, broken products, open parcel…) shall be carefully and scrupulously mentioned on the delivery notice as handwritten statement reserves together with the date and signature of the customer. The customer shall also send a written confirmation of the existence of such anomaly to the carrier within the two working days following the delivery date by mean of a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt in which these complaints will be stated. The customer shall provide Diamoos or Paris-Diamant-Direct, either by fax, letter or e-mail, with a copy of the aforesaid letter. The address of the carrier shall be Should any of these formalities not be achieved within the said delays, products shall be considered accepted as conform by the customer. Article 13 : Purchase order (Appendix 3 of the present General Sales Conditions) Purchase order is printable and can be downloaded as an appendix to the general sales conditions and includes all necessary information required, some of them -outlined in bold characters- having to be fulfilled by the customer (notably for banking references). Article 14 : Retraction delay In any case the customer may return the products he disagrees with, at his own costs, within a seven days delay and without any penalty. This seven days delay is running from the date of delivery, such as defined in article 12.2. For such return of the product(s), the customer shall have resort to the same carrier that the one that shall have delivered the products (i.e. the Post or the carrier chosen by Diamoos). Should this retraction right be exercised, the consumer shall thus be entitled either to ask for complete refunding of the paid amounts or to have the product(s) be exchanged. In case an exchange has to take place, the sending costs shall be at the customer’s expenses. In case of refunding, Diamoos by Paris-Diamant-Direct shall undertake to proceed to such refunding by bank cheque within a 15 days delay from the date the sold and returned product(s) have been checked and subject to an expert survey (considering the particular technical character of the sold products). Any return shall be reported beforehand to Diamoos by Paris-Diamant-Direct Customer service, and at the uppermost by telephone (and confirmed by mail) so that the delivered product shall be imperatively returned to the only address that shall be specified to him during his retraction request The only products that shall be taken over, shall be the one returned as a whole, in their full and unbroken original packaging, and in perfect condition for resale. Any damaged, scratched, or worn product , or any product whose original packaging shall have been destroyed, shall not be paid off , nor exchanged and shall be sent back to the sender at its own expenses. Any sealed diamond or precious stone that shall have been damaged, opened and taken out of its packaging, even just for a while, or whose original packaging shall have been destroyed, damaged, scratched or broken shall not be refunded nor exchanged nor even taken back. Article 15 : Responsibility and Guaranty 15.1 Delivery Responsibility Products and services proposed on Diamoos by Paris-Diamant-Direct websites are valid within the limits of available stocks only. No indemnity of any kind shall be paid in case of stock shortage or cancellation. Diamoos shall not be held responsible in case of late delay due to any of its supplier’s stock shortage. Diamoos reserves the right to choose the carrier for delivery. Any transportation risk is at the customer’s expenses from the moment the product is out of workshops. TO RETAIN : - Delivery via French Post over the whole French territory with a refunding guaranty equal to the declared value (maximum 5000€), price : around 8€ to 22€ (guaranty included) - Delivery via French Post toward EEC countries with a refunding guaranty equal to the declared value (maximum 5000€), price : from 13€ to 29,50€ (Tariffs and guaranties upon request for countries other than EEC countries. -International delivery (except for certain countries, list upon request) via the French post-office, from France towards EEC countries with a refunding guaranty equal to the declared value : 22€ to 38 € according to the guaranteed amount. Remark : Delivery towards North America, via the French post-office (with the refunding guaranty equal to the declared value) till the American North frontier then the parcel is taken in charge by FEDEX and carried on the American or Canadian territory with a maximum guaranty of 500 dollars a parcel. . - International door-to-door delivery via FEDEX, no refunding guaranty on declared value (www.fedex.com), guaranty applies only in case of destruction of the parcel. -EEC door to door delivery via UPS (www.ups.com) with refunding guaranty equal to the declared value : around 26€ + 1% of declared value (Tariff upon request for other European countries ) Regarding international deliveries, UPS is more specialized for North America : 98€ +1% of the declared value by express sending with all transporting guaranties and refunding of costs in case delays are not respected. -Delivery and service 3 stars, the most efficient for great value objects, door to door delivery a Brink’s for North American countries with total importation success, follow up and refunding guaranty equal to the declared value : 500€ + 3.5€ per range of 1000€. No value limit. - Delivery with Ferarri Technotrans Company, 17 r Dupetit Thouars 75003 Paris (33 01-49- 96-60-60), specialized in transportation of great value pieces and diamonds For obvious reasons of costs practised in certain countries, we suggest to deliver your order at our own costs on the French ground to the carrier of your choice so that he can be able to transport your order under your responsibility and according to his own guarantees. You just have to find and mandate an international carrier in your own country and order him to receive on your behalf the product sold by Paris Diamant Direct. Formalities, requirements, taxes, and custom duties Paris Diamant Direct cannot be substituted to the importing customer and cannot take charge of import-export custom formalities and requirements. For countries having high administrative requirements, we can suggest you international carriers like Brink’s or Ferarri Technotrans for we are used to work with them. . However, for each sending, we do contact the chosen supplier, pay the delivery costs according to what has been agreed with our customer, and provide him with the product, that shall be packaged under VD envelope in front of witnesses, together with custom declaration documents, original French invoice and 4 written English copies of the invoice. We then send you by mail copies of all documents remitted to the carrier as well as copy of the delivery order, the follow up references, and copy of the carrier’s invoice. You will then be contacted by the carrier when the envelope arrives so that you can fix a meeting to pay for all import taxes, costs and custom duties and then you will be personally given the envelope. Particular conditions regarding diamonds importation (upon request) A copy of all required and useful documents (notably the invoice written both in French and in English and custom declaration) necessary for the transportation of goods shall be addressed to you by e-mail together with a copy of the carrier’s transporting order.
